Born in North Philadelphia Suzan Schwartz, best known as Suzan SL Gottshall shares a compassion for art in many forms.  As a fine art photographer, she is influenced by natural environmental changes of places and structures.  With the continual growth of society our technology and industrial history has changed drastically in appearance and importance. Keeping this in mind, Suzan has heightened her awareness to see objects through different perspectives.  She also directs focus on documenting images of once treasured ruins creating an awareness of the importance to preserve our history.

With the help of nature providing light, color and textural changes, many interesting compositions appear through the lens. The result appears in her images of a beautiful pallet of patterns, colors and textures.

Through photography, she entertains ideas of creative perspectives and innovative expressions of originality. Throughout her collective portfolio runs an underlying theme of abstraction which lends to the distorted views within compositions. Suzan’s goal is to captivate her audience drawing them in to provoke a stir of emotions and engaging imagination.

Suzan's other avenues of interest in the arts include acrylic painting and silversmithing.
