Meet Diane Hirt. Diane has graciously agreed to share her images on our SPOTLIGHT. Please take a look through her gallery and give her a warm welcome using our comments section.
"From my high school days in the dark room processing negatives (I still love hanging things on a clothesline to drip dry) to biking through the streets of Philadelphia to work at the family store (O. H. Hirt Photography, 1912), photography has always been in the background of my life.
Whether photographing rock formations in Montana, Quichua Indians in the mountains of Peru, faces of Cambodians in the markets of Phnom Penh, or following the light on Manhattan buildings, my love of adventure has taken me around the globe. Curiosity and the pursuit of new experiences push me to capture faces and places on this beautiful earth.
Hoping that a common language will most definitely fail, I use my Nikon D7100 to connect. To capture the essence of an individual in a candid shot is my passion. I live in Yardley and when I cannot travel, I work as a professional counselor, traveling by armchair into the lives of my clients."
