John writes: I have been a serious photographer for over 30 years. During those years I have

thought deeply about what photography means to me and why it is so important.

I’ve asked myself, “why do I photograph?” I’ve wondered what my role is in the

creative act. I’ve had in depth conversations with many other photographers about

their process. I’ve led over 150 workshops or tours where I have learned so much

about why others create.

In this presentation, I will share my ah ha moments, my revelations, and my

learnings from my journey. My musings if you will about my journey with

photography. I will share my transition from photographer to artist creating

expressive images.

The intent of this presentation is to inspire you to think more deeply about your

process, how you show up to make images and to move towards creating personally

expressive images.
