The Phillips' Mill Photographic Exhibition has posted their 2026 awards at https://www.phillipsmill.org/photography/photo-exhibition. CPC member (and Steering Committee member) Laura Brandt received a Second Place for "Final Bow"; Jacqueline Burke received a Juror's Award for "Burden of Creation" and Laurie Santoro received the Louise-Rakestraw-Chappell Memorial Award for "Fulcrum". See the link above for Laura and Jacqueline's images; Laurie' image and artist statement are below.

"With this image, I wanted to strip everything away to focus on the raw mechanics of the body. By using a steep vertical perspective, the hands and the leg become the structural pillars of the frame—emphasizing the sheer strength and tension held in the limbs.
It’s called Fulcrum because it captures that exact point where muscle, bone, and skin all work together to support the weight of the pose. I didn't want a soft portrait; I wanted to highlight the grit of the skin and the hard definition of the muscles. By hiding the face, the focus stays entirely on the physical effort and the power of the form itself."
