It is hard to believe that school is about to start, and the new club year is soon to begin. We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer and that you are taking advantage of these lovely unexpectedly pleasant days of late summer to get some shooting time in! The steering committee and the planning committees have been busy filing in the programming slots for the upcoming year. A few slots are still open, but we wanted to share some of the programs already set.
The first meeting of the year is Sept 15th and as usual it will be a social at the Nature Center so please think about desserts or appetizers you might bring along with images from the summer. A zoom link will be sent out closer to the meeting for those who can not attend in person.
Oct 6 2025 Bert Sirkin Focus stacking
Oct 20, 2025 Mark Batista TIMELESS BEAUTY: LEARNING FROM THE OLD MASTERS
Jan 5, 2026 Lori Lankford Impressionist techniques
March 16th at 6pm Murray Livingston Long Lens Landscape (note the time, Murray is in the UK!)
April 20, 2026 Ray Schneider Intentional Composition through Photography.
As suggested at the planning meetings, our contests/critiques are going to follow the speaker's presentations, and if possible the speaker will come back to be the judge or critiquer, Matt Christopher will return to judge an abandoned/brownfields contest, and Lori Lankford will do the same for impressionist techniques as will Bert for Focus Stacking. We are also going to try a program that has been very popular at the Doylestown club where members submit images and someone else takes a shot at editing them.
Since this is Churchville's 40th year, we would like to add a presentation of images from the earlier years of the club at the Holiday social. Please unearth any images you might have from older club picnics, workshops, scavenger hunts and trips to share at the holiday meeting.
Also DUES ARE DUE!!! As a reminder dues are $35/person or $55 /family. Please bring a check payable to the Churchville Photography Club to the social or mail to Elaine Barkan, Treasurer
The CPC Steering Committee: Marty Golin, VP; Elaine Barkan, Treasurer; Dianne Rose, Secretary; Kathy DiTanna, Committee member; Sara Pinkus, Committee Member and John Stritzinger (Online Contest)
