I have been interested in photography most of my life, and got my first 35MM SLR when I was a teenager. My interest lies mainly in nature photography, but portraits, architecture and abstracts also make up a large portion of my work. I'm always looking for a new place to visit for photography and just for the enjoyment and a different perspective to shoot from. I consider myself an advanced amateur, but need to work on creating the image I envision, not just taking the shot. I want to learn how to capture the light. There is still a lot to learn, and I'm looking forward to the experience.
For a living, I work for the Bucks County Department of Health as a Health Inspector, making most consumers happy, and many restaurant owners miserable.
My involvement with the Churchville Photography Club began in the 1980s through a photography class held at the Nature Center. I was invited to join the club by the original members, and have been here ever since. Through the years I have held the office of President and Vice-president, and have led or been on many committees.
I expect to continue shooting long into the future, and maybe someday I'll get all those slides filed away.
