Monday, November 7, 2022 – Club Critique / Critiquer – Barbara Warren

This is our first Club Critique of the year.  Barbara Warren is well known in our club.  Known for her beautiful fine art images and her ability to give us great input on our submissions for critique.

Barbara is a Philadelphia based photographer with a wide range of photographic interests. Her images have taken numerous awards in local juried art shows over the years, including Best Body of Work twice and Best of Show once in the Phillips Mill Annual Juried Photography Show, the Curator’s award in the Perkins Center of the Arts Photography show, and the Chairman’s Award at the Philadelphia Sketch Club.

Critiquer: Barbara Warren
Her work can be seen at www.barbarawarren.com

We used to ask for the 'not perfect' images.  Now we can add other images, but it's always best to look for some input that could improve an image.  It's up to you.  Introduce yourself as the photographer and you may choose to address any concern with the image.  Barbara may offer you suggestions about processing, cropping or anything that she might feel worth mentioning.  Her input has always been appreciated.

NOTE: You should be present in the meeting if you intend to interact with the critiquer.

DEADLINE: Submit one or two images by Saturday, 5PM November 7th.  You could submit the same image with two different crops if you wish.

NAMING:  A critique is interactive, so the naming is really simple.  Just use your first name and last initial and number.  Save as a '.jpg', or '.jpeg' and upload to the website.  (ie., DianneR01.jpg and if adding another, show DianneR02.jpg)

SIZE:  Horizontal/wide 1600 px OR for a vertical/tall (or your 'square-ish image) use 1200 px.  TIP: Make sure that your image size is not over 2MP; the uploader may have difficulty with larger images and will probably fail.  Resize your image and watch that the MP do not exceed 2MP.
FORMAT: Jpeg (Jpg)

UPLOAD: Use the uploader on the website.  Click on Member Log In (not the drop down).  It will pull up the page requesting that you provide your UN and PW.  If you don't remember your UN, contact Dianne Rose. She can give this information to you.   If you don't remember your PW, you can enter your UN and request to change your PW.  (Be creative; we have had our problems in the past with 'simple' passwords.)

If you have any problems, contact Dianne Rose or Janet Hickey, preferably via phone based on how quickly you need help!
