A message for 2023-2024 by our president elect, Alex Spielman.


Dear Churchville Photography Club Members,

 

As the newly elected President for the 2023-2024 calendar year, it is my immense pleasure to welcome each of you to an exciting year of learning, sharing, and celebrating the art of photography.

 

We find ourselves at a unique time, where technology enables us to stay connected, irrespective of physical distance. As such, we will be holding our meetings both in person at the Churchville Nature Center and on Zoom, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate, engage, and contribute to our vibrant community. We believe that this hybrid model will provide the flexibility needed to accommodate our diverse group of members, each with their own unique circumstances and comfort levels.

 

Our club thrives on the creativity, passion, and diversity of its members. Whether you are an experienced professional, an enthusiastic amateur, or a beginner eager to explore the world through a new lens, there is a place for you here. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, where everyone can grow and develop their skills.

Over the course of the year, we will be organizing a variety of activities designed to inspire and challenge you. These include guest speaker sessions with renowned photographers, hands-on workshops, photo walks in unique locations, and other exciting activities. We will also be hosting special sessions focusing on the critique and appreciation of member works, giving us all a chance to learn from each other.

 

We encourage you to participate actively, share your experiences, and contribute your unique perspective to our community. Remember, our club is a reflection of its members, and your involvement truly makes a difference.

 

Lastly, I would like to encourage each of you to invite others who may be interested in joining our club. The more diverse our perspectives, the richer our shared experience of photography will be.
