The Judges

Dan Creighton dcphotog.com

Dan was a full-time photjournalist for 20 years, and now free-lances for local newspapers and regional news services. He also documents corporate and social events. Today he considers himself a “photo-generalist”, pursuing all types of photography on a personal level.

Barbara Warren barbarwarren.com

Barbara is a free-lance photographer specializing in nature, abstracts, architecture and social events. She has been published locally and nationally, and has exhibited in numerous local juried art shows.  Her first solo show was in March, 2013 at the Arts Council of Princeton.

Henry Rowan hrowan.com

A national award-winning photographer, Henry lives in Bucks County where he is currently Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Center for Photography in Doylestown. His subject matter tends to be eclectic but well defined and somewhat difficult to describe.

Each judge viewed all 335 images entirely in one viewing, divided by category, separately and independently from the other judges, and rated each entry anonymously on its merit within its category with a score from 1-33 points. No judge had any influence upon another since they were scheduled at different times. Points were totaled after the final judging, determining standings, with 99 points as the highest possible score. Best of Show is the highest scoring print overall.

Chris Stieber of Churchville Nature Center chose the Director’s Award independently from any scoring.

The Co-Chairs likewise selected the Chairmen’s, Ernie Volpe, Tony DiMattio, Creative Achievement and Special Recognition awards independently.
