I’m a relative newcomer to the field of photography. My first digital camera was a Panasonic point-and-shoot, which I chose because it had a 6x zoom, whereas most other point-and-shoots of the era had only 3x. I liked digital so much that I never used my Minolta SLR again. In 2012 I got my Canon T2i/550D, which is the camera that I use today. And then of course there’s the iPhone.
I joined the CPC toward the end of the 2013-14 season, and not only have I learned a lot, but I’ve become aware of just how much more there is to learn. I like taking photos of flowers and wildlife, although recently I’ve enjoyed landscape photography as well. I’d like to get better at taking portraits and I enjoy photographing children. For post-processing I’ve been using Apple Photos and am in the process of learning how to use Elements. I’ve also been having fun lately using Topaz Impression.
For someone who is relatively new your photos are beautiful, Joyce. Well done!
Stunning photographs!!! I love the birds the best but they are all beautiful. I love your use of color…
Beautiful array of photos! Keep playing with Topaz! My favorite are the heron photos.
Beautiful photos…I am brand new to the club & I am looking forward to learning too!
Hi Joyce. First, let me say welcome to the Club. Second, Wow,… you sure have a great eye for composition. Great photos.
I truly enjoyed seeing all of your work here, the shot of the cat leaves me anticipating and the birds taking off in flight photo really put me in the moment! I look forward to more.
