Churchville Photography Club – APRIL 17th, 2023, Wednesday – CLUB TRIP

INTERESTED? You must be a member to participate in club trips. You can join the club in advance by filling out our membership form and mailing your check to Elaine Barkan; the information and her address is on the form. The check must be received prior to the event (or you can bring it and the membership form with you).

Springtime! The perfect time to enjoy a visit to Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden in Villanova. This conserved property gives you an opportunity to engage with nature and gardens on a more intimate scale, with ample opportunity to focus on what draws your eye.

Date/Time: Wednesday April 17, 2024 / 10am-1pm

In the event of an inclement weather forecast, we will communicate about an alternate date.

John will provide his cell phone number and additional details for those signing up for the outing.

Sharing a ride up and back makes for an enjoyable time with fellow members. John will assist in coordinating car-pooling from the area for those who would like to do so.

We will meet at 10am in the parking lot at Stoneleigh, and then spread out to explore and photograph throughout the property.

Stoneleigh holds extraordinary trees, beautifully cultivated native plant gardens, an exceptional pergola, and a lovely cascading-edge water garden.

A Tudor Revival style mansion, a family home built around 1900, sits elegantly with a sweeping view of the property. Our outing is likely to include a tour of the interior of this home fora small fee.

Bring your tripod and macro lens if you are looking for floral details, and wide-angle and telephoto lenses to capture your take on the expanse and fine features here.
